2010…the Bank of Canada tells us that “the recession is over”….OK, so can someone tell the advertisers? All Chambers of Commerce felt the “dip” in both membership advertising and sponsorship….to the tune of 30 percent on average…..but we know that we are on an upswing for 2010! Our 2010 projects are pacing well!
We at Commerce Advertising & Marketing have been in a growth pattern for the last couple of months and that is good news for all Chambers! We have hired a Marketing Executive, Randy Bradford, who is helping us develop a marketing plan to take us through the next 10 years….if you do happen to get a call from him – welcome him warmly and give him an excellent testimonial based on your experiences working with Commerce Advertising & Marketing.
Yvonne Pilsworth (Account Executive) will be working with the Hamilton Chamber and the Grimsby Chamber straight out of the gate. Yvonne comes to us from Nova Scotia and shares her passion for VIP customer service, professionalism and fun!
Heather Sigl (Account Executive) is piloting our Woodstock website project, will be challenged to bring in the advertising dollars that we excelled in with the last directory project – she is the woman to achieve such a feat!
Kelly Darnley from the Caledon Chamber of Commerce and not forgetting, this years President of CEO, is about to launch their exciting new website….thanks to CAMI! Take a look when you get the chance and you will see the exciting design flexibility….cheers, Kelly!
Not to be outdone, Lawrie Ackerman of the Prince Edward County Chamber of Commerce, is also about to launch their CAMI website and in conjunction with the tourism bureau for her region, will give them the coverage they need to help grow their incredible agro-tourism vein of the area. Martha Dennis, Woodstock Chamber of Commerce – imagine an Ad Participation Rate from your members of nearly 30% - take lessons from this incredible Executive Director….!! Pick her brain for some exciting ideas!
Jinny Day and the Grimsby Chamber of Commerce will grow – grow – grow – with their new CAMI website….right in our own backyard! Ginny knows a good thing when she sees it and why not cover costs by using our professional ad executives to sell banner and button ads on their site? Grimsby rocks!
Lloyd Longfield, Guelph Chamber of Commerce has embarked on an innovative and exciting path….we are not only selling and producing their printed directory, but also selling the ads in their magazine and now….yes, selling memberships! Thanks to Lloyd for his outstanding “out of the box” thinking and his willingness to go out on a limb with us….we all win because Lloyd is a smart guy!
So, from our attendance at the American Chamber of Commerce conference in Raleigh in July to the Victoria CCC conference and through to the CEO conference in Mississauga in November…we salute you!
